Modular Design Counters

Eight curated design concepts that enable quick and reliable counter configuration thanks to standardised modules and the provided 2D/3D data.

Miru modulare Designtresen

Our Modular Counter System

miru® is a modular reception counter system that translates decades of manufacturing expertise into a partially standardised system. Eight design concepts developed by Vietzke & Borstelmann form a creative matrix ranging in character from minimalist to expressive.

The modules are crafted to a high standard using durable materials such as solid surface, ceramic and natural stone. They are designed to be easy to repair and can be extended as required. Accessible, wheelchair-friendly elements are also available.

For efficient planning, standardised modules, data sheets and 2D and 3D data are provided, complemented by a configuration guide and dedicated support. This significantly reduces planning time, costs and approval processes.

  • Designs ranging from minimalist to neo-Baroque, created for a variety of atmospheres and contexts.
  • Standardised modules for individual configuration, expansion and customisation.
  • 2D/3D data, data sheets, configuration guide and comprehensive support.
  • Shorter planning, approval and production times through standardisation.

Craftsmanship Meets Architecture

As pioneers in solid surface materials, we have spent decades working closely with leading architects and designers to turn ambitious ideas into distinctive spaces and forms. Our partnership with Thomas Vietzke and Jens Borstelmann has grown over many years, built on trust, shared expertise and a passion for exceptional design. What began with the landmark Hotel Puerta America project and our collaboration with Zaha Hadid has since evolved into a product system developed together.

Vietzke & Borstelmann Architects are known for innovative, bespoke architecture. Their designs explore complex forms and geometries to create spaces with a natural and distinctive aesthetic. The practice is led by Thomas Vietzke and Jens Borstelmann, who first met while working at Zaha Hadid Architects. Between 2001 and 2014, they worked on numerous award-winning designs and projects in London and Hamburg before founding their own architectural practice in Hamburg in 2014.

Their work combines digital design technologies with traditional craftsmanship, driven by a long-standing passion for innovative and sustainable materials.
