History
1984 Beginnings
Helmut Rosskopf set up his own joinery business In Gnadenthal, near Limburg an der Lahn in the state of Hessen. This small business was a pioneer in processing the solid surface material Corian® and enjoyed excellent growth.
1991 Looking eastwards
Following German reunification, and as part of the company’s ongoing development, the first branch in the former East Germany was established in May 1991 in Hennersdorf, near Chemnitz in Saxony. Over the next few years, the Hennersdorf site developed very successfully into a strategic centre for marketing and processing solid surface material.
1997 Growth
In the summer of 1997, a third site was added in Thuringia. In July 2000, the company finally moved into a new building on the Obermehler/Schlotheim airfield industrial estate. Since then, the Obermehler site has been systematically developed into one of the most cutting-edge quartz and stone processing facilities in Europe.
2011 Production expansion
To create more space for panel storage, the company moved into a new hall at the Schlotheim technology and innovation centre. The Obermehler site also took on projects involving solid surface processing, paving the way for sustained growth.
2021 Restructure
Helmut Rosskopf, the company’s founder, moved to the supervisory board and was appointed its chairman. He also transferred his shares in the company to the Hoffnungsträger Foundation.
2023 Sole director
Christin Bergmann has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2013. From 2023, she took on the role of sole director.
