Use of Google Analytics

On our website, we use the web analytics service Google Analytics, provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”).
The purpose of this data processing is to analyse this website and its visitors. To this end, Google will use the information collected on behalf of the operator of this website to analyse your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide the website operator with other services relating to website and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics processing is not combined with any other data held by Google.
Google Analytics uses cookies that enable your use of the website to be analysed. The information generated by the cookies regarding your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. IP anonymisation is enabled on this website. This means your IP address will be truncated by Google within Member States of the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. Your data may be transferred to the USA. An adequacy decision by the European Commission is in place for data transfers to the USA. Data processing is carried out on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, on the grounds of a legitimate interest in designing the website in a way that meets users’ needs and is tailored to their requirements

Use of Google Inc. ‘s remarketing or similar audiences function

On our website, we use the remarketing or similar audiences targeting function provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”). This function is used to analyse visitor behaviour and interests. Google uses cookies to analyse website usage, which forms the basis for providing interest-based advertising. Cookies are used to track visits to the website and to collect anonymised data on how the website is used. No personal data relating to visitors to the website is stored. If you subsequently visit another website in the Google Display Network, you will be shown adverts that are highly likely to be based on the product and information pages you have previously viewed. Your data may also be transferred to the USA. An adequacy decision by the European Commission is in place for data transfers to the USA.
Data processing is carried out on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, on the grounds of the legitimate interest in targeting website visitors with advertising.

Use of Google Ads conversion tracking

We use the online advertising program Google Ads on our website and conversion tracking (visitor action analysis) as part of this. Google conversion tracking is an analytics service provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”).
When you click on an advert displayed by Google, a conversion tracking cookie is stored on your computer. These cookies have a limited lifespan, do not contain any personal data and therefore cannot be used to identify individuals. If you visit certain pages on our website and the cookie has not yet expired, both we and Google can see that you have clicked on the advert and been redirected to that page. Every Google Ads customer is assigned a different cookie. It is therefore not possible for cookies to be tracked via Google Ads customers’ websites.
The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to compile conversion statistics. This tells us the total number of users who have clicked on one of our adverts and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, we do not receive any information that could be used to identify individual users.
Data processing is carried out on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, on the grounds of a legitimate interest in targeted advertising and analysing the impact and effectiveness of such advertising.

Use of Facebook retargeting

We use the custom audiences retargeting feature provided by Facebook Inc. (1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA; “Facebook”) on our website.
The purpose of this feature is to target website visitors with interest-based advertising on the Facebook social network.
To this end, Facebook’s retargeting tag has been implemented on the website. When you visit the website, a direct connection is established with Facebook’s servers via that tag. This means that information about which of our web pages you have visited is transmitted to the Facebook server. Facebook links this information to your personal Facebook account. When you visit the Facebook social network, you will be shown personalised, interest-based Facebook adverts. Data processing is carried out on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, on the grounds of a legitimate interest in the purpose set out above.

Duration of storage

Once the contract has been fully processed, the data will initially be stored in accordance with statutory retention periods – in particular those under tax and commercial law – and will then be deleted once these periods have expired, unless you have consented to further processing and use.
