Architecture as an experience: Solid surface solutions at the Puerta América design hotel

The Puerta América hotel in Madrid is regarded as a unique piece of architecture. Each floor was designed by a different internationally renowned architectural firm and has its own distinctive stylistic identity. The challenge was to faithfully implement the individual designs, which featured complex geometries and unusual finishes.

Solid surface material was used to reliably create organic shapes, seamless surfaces and bespoke fittings. This resulted in high-quality components that distinctly reflect the hallmarks of the architects’ visions.

Rosskopf + Partner made numerous bespoke interior fittings from solid surface material. These include washbasins, wall and ceiling cladding, counters, items of furniture and bathtubs. The components were engineered and machined, precision-manufactured and prepared for assembly.
