Reception Counters for Hospital made with Solid Surface Material
In 2014, the Groene Hart Hospital opened a new wing. The natural colours are intended to contribute to the recovery of the patients and solid surface material was very deliberately chosen for this project. "Thanks to its thermoformability, an extensive range of available colours and its translucency, solid surface material is the ideal material for individual 3-D creations," explains Rene Lousma, Project Manager at Dekker. “25 individually-shaped, illuminated counters were designed for the new hospital wing.” The rectangular and oval shaped counters all appear very different, but are basically identical.
The absolute highlight is the reception counter ensemble in the main entrance area that consists of five individual parts. At first glance, the distinctive shape and size create an extraordinary impression. Soft LED lighting in the ensemble creates a pleasant atmosphere in the entrance area.
