Kitchen Worktops with Inductive Charging Station for the SMARTHAUS
The Wohnglück-SMARTHAUS-Deutschland (Comfortable Living SMARTHAUS Germany) tour with the mobile “Tiny House” begins on May 23 in Bielefeld. The tour will continue at stations in another 14 cities throughout Germany. The goal of the tour is to highlight the diversity of SMART home technologies.
For the tiny house, we developed a worktop made of quartz material that is equipped with an inductive charging station and an RFID chip. With this technology, you can charge Qi compatible devices wirelessly. Quartz material is ideal because it can be relief-milled precisely and very thinly. Therefore, the charging station can be mounted out of sight under the worktop. The RFID chip can then be used in combination with a smart cube to control the tiny house. For example, by turning or flipping the smart cube, you can control the lighting or switch on the alarm system. In addition to quartz material, worktops made of solid surface material can also be equipped with SMART technology.
