Bar Counter for Restaurant Yang Sing Oriental in Manchester
The Rosskopf + Partner AG recently constructed an extravagant bar counter for the exquisite award-winning Asian Yang Sing restaurant in Manchester. In this first-class restaurant with an Asian flair, instead of constructing this modern bar ensemble from the traditional wood and other natural materials, Rosskopf + Partner used the solid surface material.
The translucent bar is backlighted with a pattern of cane and reed bending in the wind, which underscores the nature-oriented ambience of the restaurant. Roberta Fulford, an architect from Manchester, designed the pattern for the translucent bar. When the first cutting of the pattern was delivered, she was surprised and enthusiastic that her hand-drawn sketch could be transformed 1:1 into the original size. This project was made possible by the unproblematic cooperation of the architect, Roberta Fulford, working together with the engineering department at Rosskopf + Partner AG.
