Westfield Shopping Centre
At the end of 2008, the Westfield Shopping Centre London opened an indoor shopping area whose dimensions in terms of space and potential for use are spectacular. Westfield Shopping Centre London is Europe's largest inner-city shopping centre – a city within a city. With a new subway station it was also connected to the urban transportation network.
Its inner life offers a tremendous wealth of shopping and recreational opportunities, such as wellness, sports and culinary possibilities. The Westfield Shopping Centre integrates exclusive designer boutiques and fashion shops, as well as supermarkets and dry cleaning under a single roof. Banks and pharmacies can be found there as well as cinemas and restaurants, whose international diversity offers a huge selection to satisfy the likings of all its visitors.
The idea of a comprehensive world of shopping experiences is not new, but in the aesthetic and functional development of the internal infrastructure, innovative ideas have been transformed into trendsetting formats in terms of design, choice of materials and technical implementation. It goes without saying that finding your way in a complex shopping centre of this size means that orientation elements and information platforms are key factors.
