Modern Chairs Made of the Solid Surface Material Avonite®

18 chairs in 30 days: For the MKT AG company in Olching, Germany, we crafted 18 unusual seating possibilities for the CES Exhibition in Las Vegas. The surfaces of the chairs are supported with a sub-construction of stainless steel and individual frames made of solid surface material. For both the development work and fabrication we only needed 30 days, although the complex surfaces were not especially easy to produce.

The chairs were made from the solid surface material Avonite® in the colour Snowfall, using material sheets with thicknesses of 9 mm and 12 mm.
