Facade Elements for Marriott Cannes
The JW Marriott Hotel, located on the famous Promenade de la Croisette in Cannes, has undergone modernisation in recent years. The luxury hotel received a new façade on the ground floor, composed of an impressive mix of solid surface material and glass. The dynamic upper section arches slightly over the pavement like a canopy, offering protection to those strolling beneath. The façade is conceived as a geometric abstraction whose design plays with elements of light, rhythm and reflection.
We manufactured and installed the white curved solid surface cladding on the inside of the 85-metre-long façade in a collaboration with façade specialist Frener & Reifer. The components are mounted slightly offset, so that a discreet beam of light shines through in the dark. This illuminates the curve of the façade very strikingly.
