Counter, Information Terminals & Bench for the Former Post Office in Bolzano
The architect, Michael Tribus, transformed the unsightly former post office of Bolzano into the first public passive house in Italy. Rosskopf + Partner AG equipped the foyer with a counter, two information terminals and a bench made of solid surface material.
In addition to the extreme 3-D thermoforming of these two elements, the information terminals in particular presented a demanding challenge. Although these objects are optically very light in appearance, thanks to the highly qualified engineering experts, the curved pillars of the terminals that rise from the floor were designed to be long-lasting and have a permanent stability.
