Exterior wall cladding made of selatec®ceramic porcelain ceramic material. The trend toward the use of innovative materials in contemporary architecture is becoming increasingly popular. Modern materials offer a potential in properties that open up new possibilities in terms of their application and make the implementation of progressive design ideas feasible.
Nearly all of the materials mentioned are also suitable for exterior facades. This pertains especially to the solid surface material HI-MACS® by LG Hausys, which, due to its extreme formability, is also suitable for elaborate objects. In addition to the extraordinary elements that Rosskopf & Partner manufactured for the interior of the ‘LEONARDO glass cube’ company building, the pilasters on the exterior provide an impressive example of the flexibility of the material – not to mention the remarkable performance of the company that constructed it, Rosskopf & Partner. Similar can be achieved with Corian® by DuPont.
The facade elements can be mounted using rear-cut anchors or an agraffe system. Since the facade can be re-polished and repaired, long-term care is not necessary.
With projects such as the LEONARDO glass cube, Rosskopf & Partner ventured very successfully into new territory in an advanced, application-specific development of solid surface material and, in an outstanding way, was able to go beyond the limitations that existed previously for the implementation of solid surface material. With secure routines and continuous development of their skills and materials, Rosskopf & Partner has proven itself capable of tackling particularly demanding tasks in the architectural field – both in the interior and the exterior.
All materials offered by Rosskopf & Partner are suitable for interior architecture: In addition to solid surface material, quartz material, glass ceramics and Porzellankeramik are an optimal choice for first-rate wall covering in indoor areas. In terms of thickness and desired colours, a wide selection range is available. The panelling can be polished repeatedly, it is reparable, and it presents itself in contemporary aesthetics. That it can be cleaned simply and quickly with window cleaners makes it evident that the utilization requirements of the modern day can be easily met. As necessary, the wall panelling can also be hung or glued into place and is the ideal solution for all areas in the interior, unless they require acoustic insulation as one of the essential criteria.
