Rosskopf & Partner Celebrates 20 Years of Success Business at the Solid Surface Material Centre of Excellence in Hennersdorf

In May 2011, Rosskopf & Partner AG celebrates 20 years of successful business at the Solid Surface Material Centre of Excellence in Hennersdorf near Augustusburg, Germany.

From very modest beginnings in 1984, Helmut Rosskopf became independent with his own carpentry shop in Gnadental in Hessen near Limburg on the Lahn River. Four years later, he met Martin Funck. With his participation and cooperation in the business, Rosskopf & Partner GmbH was founded.

In May 1991, the branch facility was founded in Hennersdorf near Chemnitz in Saxony. Connected with the Jesus-Bruderschaft (Jesus-Brotherhood), with which both company owners are closely associated, they selected this location, a region which up until then was characterized by a weak infrastructure, to offer new places to work. First of all, in 1992, Helmut Roßkopf moved to Hennersdorf. When everything was prepared sufficiently for him to move with his family to the new company location, Martin Funck followed in 1994. Since then, Martin Funck directs the operations in Hennersdorf.

Through the investment in a modern set of machinery, over the next few years, the Hennersdorf facility became the strategic company centre for the machining of solid surface material. For the region Middle-Saxony/Erzgebirge/Chemnitz, the establishment of the company meant the creation of more than 100 new jobs.
But beyond that, Rosskopf & Partner AG is involved in the local environment and is well-integrated in the Region. From the beginning, the company invested in the water power facility in Hennersdorf, so that today a large part of the needed energy comes from its own power company. Also, for several years, Rosskopf & Partner has supported the company study centre, various clubs and the Rainbow grammar school in Augustusburg.

Today, Rosskopf & Partner AG is one of the largest manufacturers of products made of premium surface materials, such as solid surface material, quartz material, porcelain ceramics and glass ceramics in Europe. With an export quota of over 50% and a record of continual growth, Rosskopf & Partner AG is well established for the future and is an important economic factor in the Erzgebirge in Middle-Saxony.

The celebration for 20 years of successful business at the Hennersdorf location took place on Friday, May 13, 2011. In the framework of the celebration, the District Administrator of Middle-Saxony, Mr. Volker Uhlig, and the mayor of the city of Augustusburg, Ms Evelyn Jugelt, addressed the invited guests.

On Saturday, May 14, 2011, Rosskopf & Partner AG presented their facilities with an “open day”. On that day, many interested citizens were able to see for themselves the modern facilities and the creative ideas of the company. At the same time, many activities were offered on site for visitors, both large and small.
