High-Quality Private Bathroom Constructed Completely of Solid Surface Material

The design and construction of a private bathroom made entirely of the solid surface material HI-MACS® is in itself an interesting and unusual project. When the bathroom must also be constructed using a barrier-free design, only specialists like Rosskopf + Partner AG are able to respond to the special requirements associated with such an endeavour.

For that reason, Rosskopf + Partner AG was awarded the contract from Say Architects to construct the bathroom for a private building owner in London. Its planning and development ensued together with the Dutch designer Marike Andeweg, who was responsible for the design of the washbasin.

Special emphasis was placed on processing the solid surface material HI-MACS® into an extremely flush and seamless entity. Although the individual elements were processed separately and assembled later, the intended high-quality optical impression was achieved making the bathroom appear in its entirety as a continuous design with no discernible gaps or joints.

In addition to the washstand, the entire wall panelling and the shower area, each with sections for control levers, decorative elements and lighting, were crafted using the solid surface material HI-MACS®.
