Chair Presentation Niches and Podium Cladding made of LG Hausys HI-MACS® in the colour S103 Concrete Grey for the Vitra Design Museum. Architect: Gregor Gallian With the help of the Oddy test, the compatibility of materials used for display cases, cabinets, museum rooms and/or packing materials used for objects in museums can be tested. Specifically, in this mandate, the solid surface material HI-MACS® and its associated adhesive were examined.
No visible change or corrosion was visible on the metal coupons used in the test. Therefore, the material HI-MACS® and the HI-MACS® adhesive that comes into long-term contact with artwork and other objects of cultural value can be used without reservation. This also applies to cabinets and other furniture in the museum.
